Callie or Marie?

Splatoon

A little over a year after they first launched it, Nintendo have announced that they will be bringing an end to Splatoon– no, this doesn’t mean that the online servers for the game will be retired, you can still play the game online if you want to. Instead, this means that Nintendo will be ending their periodically held ‘Splatfests’ contests, which ask users to pick a team out of two given, and then fight for the glory of that team.

The final Splatfest has been announced, and it will be held on July 22- and this Splatfest asks what might be the hardest question of them all: Callie or Marie? The two squid girls are Splatoon‘s announcers and narrators, and they have won a wide fan following worldwide. This question promises to create a civil war of sorts in the Splatoon fandom.

Splatoon is available now on the Wii U exclusively. A port or a sequel is expected to be announced for the Nintendo NX, whenever the NX itself is announced.
