While previously rumoured to be coming to Wii U via an Amazon online listing (and we know how reliable those are…oh wait), there hasn’t been much hard evidence of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist arriving on any platform aside from the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

However, new information since posted on the LinkedIn profiles of level designer Pascal Allancon and game tester Robin Dhar both talk about work being done on a Wii U version of Blacklist. While the information is no longer there, a few screenshots were taken by Joystiq and GoNintendo showing the same. Check them out below.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is the latest game in Ubisoft’s stealth action series and sees the return of Sam Fisher as takes on a new terrorist threat called The Blacklist. Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, the game will be releasing on August 20th 2013 after having been delayed from its initial Spring release.

We can’t really say how many Wii U gamers would appreciate Splinter Cell on their console, but hey, the more consoles the merrier.
