Split Fiction is the next co-op title from Hazelight Studios, with the story focusing on Mio and Zoe, two writers who enter a simulation that brings their preferred fictional settings to life. When things go wrong, they must work together, and while it encourages coordination and cooperation like It Takes Two, the hardware requirements on PC are notably higher.
As revealed on its Steam listing, the minimum requirements include an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 8 GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB. This delivers 1080p/30 FPS at Low settings. The recommended requirements include a Core i7-11700k or Ryzen 7 5800X, 16 GB RAM, and a GeForce RTX 3070 8GB or Radeon 6700 XT 12GB, which delivers 1440p/60 FPS at High settings.
All configurations require 85 GB of storage space, significantly higher than It Takes Two’s 50 GB. Time will tell just how it impacts the overall playtime.
Split Fiction launches on March 6th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
