1047 Games’ sequel to Splitgate 2 is now playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, albeit in open beta form. A new gameplay trailer is available to showcase what players can expect. Check it out below.
The free-to-play shooter is developed on Unreal Engine 5 and features three factions – Aero, Meridian, and Sabrask – each with unique abilities. Aeros is for speedier players focused on kills, while Meridian is defense-minded with healing grenades and dome shields. Sabrask can deploy Smart Walls and toss frag grenades to take points.
Of course, you can still create entry and exit ports on different surfaces to take opponents by surprise or escape danger. Splitgate 2’s open beta launches with nine maps, three modes, “The Lab” for creating custom maps, a new Power Weapon, and the beta battle pass.
The game launches in full this Summer, with a new update that adds new modes and a “massive surprise.” Check out the roadmap here for more details.
