Square Enix Teases Crossover with “Destiny-XIII”

Lucky number XIII appears again.

Destiny-XIII

Square Enix is fairly busy in the new year. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will be out later this month and the company is reading a new patch 2.2 for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn before getting ready for the game’s PS4 beta. Now, it seems Square Enix is teasing something called “Destiny-XIII” for January 8th and that it will be created in conjunction with Gloops (as indicated on the teaser site itself).

Gloops is a mobile games developer which has brought out titles such Apoc Wars, Shadow Alliance: Revenge and more. A crossover with Square Enix seems to be on the cards but what kind? Could it be Square Enix characters appearing in a mobile game or in Gloops’ titles? Could it be the other way around? We’ll need to wait and find out.

However, it’s interesting to see that Square Enix hasn’t dropped the “XIII” tag – especially since Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be out in February for the West. Coincidence perhaps?
