This doesn't mean either won't be making an appearance however.

This year’s Tokyo Game Show will be happening on September 19th to 22nd and will feature the best that the Japanese gaming industry has to offer. Square Enix, for one, has already launched a website with listings of stage events and games that will be present. Currently, events are planned for Dragon Quest X, Final Fantasy XIV and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, along with a talk that features Kenji Ito, Yasunori Mitsuda and Yoko Shimomura.

Other games such as Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts and Bethesda’s The Evil Within (releasing as Psycho Break in Japan) will also be at TGS 2013. Interestingly, Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III haven’t been listed, despite Siliconera reporting on an exhibitor’s list for the same which named the two as being present.

It could be that some one jumped the gun and revealed the presence of both titles while Square Enix is looking to keep their appearances a surprise. Nonetheless, aside from the horrible event to promote Lightning’s presence in every Final Fantasy, this lineup is solid.
