Stadia

The streaming future is (maybe) upon us as Google’s Stadia service is set to finally launch later in the year. There’s been some fumbles on the marketing for the service, especially in the beginning, but we now have a good idea of what to expect, and we will be getting some new information from Google later this month.

The next Stadia Connect is slated to happen on the 19th, Google announced today. It will go live at 10 PM PT, exactly one hour before the “Opening Night Live” event for Gamescom 2019. You can watch the event at the official YouTube.

No details were given, so what we’ll see is up in the air. Presumably we’ll get a few game announcements, since the first Connect was basically the big unveiling of the service and included the slate of launch titles. But Google is also said to have some announcements at Opening Night Live, so it’s kind of hard to gauge. We’ll just have to wait and see.
