Star Citizen continues to be one of the most intriguing games out there. Its ambitious vision has been attracting millions upon millions of players for years, and yet the game’s development seems at times to be an endless process. While it has been playable in some form or another for quite some time now, there never seems to be any concrete update on exactly when the actual game will actually release.

And yet there’s something about it that draws in the masses. Star Citizen has drawn in an obscene amount of money from people throughout its life as a crowdfunded in-development title, and recently, it’s crossed another absurd milestone. At the time of writing, the game’s official website confirms that it has almost hit a whopping $410 million in crowdfunding- to be precise, that number stands at $409,426,723 at the time of writing, from a total of 3,392,436 people.

Whether or not this will lead to an actual game at some point in the future remains to be seen (even the single player experience remains permanently elusive)- but people sure do seem to believe in the project and its vision.
