Star Citizen 3.5

Star Citizen has become something of an infamous title, largely because it’s taken so long for the full game to come out, and for the rather incredible records it managed to break in its crowdfunding. Well, regardless of what you think of the project, work is certainly being done on it, and two new videos have been released to showcase some of the things coming to the game’s current alpha build and, of course, eventually the full game.

You can check out the two videos below. The first focuses on customization, specifically the remodeled Origin 300 series as well as how sub components work and look. The second is focused on systems used to develop planets and has developers Patrick Gladys and Florian Sollaneck talking about how they go about creating underground caves on planetary surfaces, showing how intricate the design of making a planet in the game can be.

Star Citizen is currently in development for PC and running in an alpha build. There’s no word at this time on when a full game will arrive. Squadron 42, the single player component, will be receiving a beta next year.
