Starlink

Starlink: Battle For Atlas was showcased once again at E3 2018 but this time, Ubisoft had something special up its sleeve. It revealed that Star Fox with Fox McCloud and his crew would be joining the fight. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot also appeared and provided Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto with an Arwing model.

A release date of October 16th has also been announced for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. However – and you kind of guessed this was coming – Star Fox will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version.

Starlink: Battle For Atlas was originally marketed last year as a game akin to Skylanders. Players would purchase different starship models, connect them to their controllers and customize them physically. These will affect your loadouts in-game.

This essential aspect was not covered during today’s E3 2018 presser, which is odd. However, the Arwing model seems to indicate that the concept is still alive. Time will tell what Ubisoft’s stance is.
