Star Wars Battlefront 2

Alt Shift’s tactical strategy rogue-lite Crying Suns is currently free on the Epic Games Store. It will be available to claim until January 14th – all you need is an Epic Games account and the launcher. DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition is next week’s free game.

Released in November 2017, Star Wars Battlefront 2 faced massive backlash for its pay-to-win implementation of loot boxes. It’s since undergone huge revamps and receives lots of new maps, modes, and characters (on top of having a decent campaign). Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition includes all of that content, along with the cosmetic customization items, till date.

Unfortunately, DICE is no longer releasing any major content updates for Star Wars Battlefront 2. The Battle of Scarif update was the last major content drop and added Scarif from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as a new location. Stay tuned for more details on what the studio could have planned next.
