Star Wars Battlefront: EA Explains Reboot Stance

EA looking to "provide our vision on what an epic Star Wars Battlefront can deliver".

Star Wars Battlefront

DICE attracted its fair share of onlookers when Star Wars Battlefront premiered not too long ago and though the jury is still out on the gameplay, especially when it was revealed that there would be no space battles, the reception has still been fairly heated.

However, why didn’t EA take the safe route and just remaster the first two Battlefront titles for current gen consoles? Why did it choose to reboot the series entirely? As the official EA Star Wars Twitter revealed, “We decided to re-boot the series so we can provide our vision on what an epic Star Wars Battlefront game can deliver.”

Apparently that vision includes a game with destruction that isn’t as overblown as Battlefield and lacks load-outs or classes. With official gameplay footage to be showcased at E3 2015, it will be worthwhile to see if Battlefront can live up to the hype enroute to its November release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
