This April 16th through to the 19th will see the celebration of the official Star Wars Convention in Anaheim, California. Fans of the hugely popular space opera gather together to celebrate their love of the franchise and it’s ever expanding wealth of content.

Developers of the new Star Wars Battlefront game, EA and DICE, will be attending the convention this year to show of the game for the very first time. This debut footage will likely be fairly representative of the final build of the game, given that it has already been shown to retail partners at behind closed doors events. Though it may well see some changes before it finally releases some time later this year. An EA posting reads, “We have a lot of exciting news to share with you about all the EA Star Wars games we are working on in partnership with Lucasfilm.”

EA have also said, “We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it.”

We will see how it all pans out.
