Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Tops UK Charts on Debut, 82 Percent of Sales on PS5

Though physical sales were down by 35 percent to Jedi: Fallen Order, revenue only dropped by 19 percent due to the higher retail price.

After revealing that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was the second biggest game launch in the UK this year, Gfk’s UK physical sales charts for the week ending April 29th are now available (via GamesIndustry). Unsurprisingly, Respawn’s sequel is in first place, despite sales being 35 percent lower than Jedi: Fallen Order.

Of course, digital sales have grown in that time, but Jedi: Survivor has a higher retail price, being roughly more than £10. Revenue is thus only down by 19 percent for the sequel, with 82 percent of sales on PS5 and 18 percent on Xbox Series X/S. How digital sales will pan out remains to be seen.

As for Dead Island 2, it dropped to second place, with sales down by 45 percent. It’s worth noting that two-thirds of its launch week sales were digital, as per GSD. Other newer titles include Minecraft Legends, which went from second to seventh, as sales dropped by 62 percent. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp debuted in third place, and with sales dropping by 70 percent week-over-week, it’s now in 17th.
