Billed as the first ever open world Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws is going to have a lot to live up to, and in the lead-up to the action-adventure title’s release in a week’s time, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have released a developer diary talking about exactly that aspect of the experience.

Star Wars Outlaws will see players exploring four familiar planets in the form of Tatooine, Kijimi, Akiva, and Canto Bight, and a newly created moon called Toshara, not to mention open world space to fly through. Throughout all of these worlds, players will find no shortage of side content to tackle, including a variety of different contracts (where you’ll have opportunities aplenty to betray and make good with syndicates).

Other side activities can also be found scattered throughout the game, such as a variety of arcade games to play, minigames such as sabbac and betting on races, landmarks to seek out, conversations to overhear for details on opportunities and points of interests, hidden treasures to seek out with Nix’s help, dynamic open world events to encounter, and more. Check out the developer diary below for more details.

Star Wars Outlaws launches on August 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with reviews set to go live on August 26.
