Star Wars: Project Maverick Is Reportedly EA Motive’s “Very Unique” Game

A small spotlight on this mystery game.

Star Wars Project Maverick

Yesterday, we all got a surprise when something called Star Wars: Project Maverick was randomly added to the PlayStation Store. It was caught by a Twitter bot programmed to report on PSN releases. We know little about the game, outside that it seems to have some type of multiplayer (you can read more about that through here). While today hasn’t brought anything official, we do have a slightly better idea of what we’re looking at.

Kotaku’s Jason Schreier was asked via his Twitter if this game was the one being worked on by EA Motive. He responded with a simple “yes.” If you’re unfamiliar, or don’t remember, with what Schreier is referring to, EA Motive confirmed not too long ago that they’re working on what was being called a “very unique” Star Wars game.

That obviously doesn’t tell us all that much, since we know nothing about what they are working on, nor what will make it “very unique.” We’ll just have to wait and see for an official announcement at this point.
