Star Wars: Squadrons will be releasing in a little over two weeks from now, and as its launch date draws closer, EA are kicking their marketing for the game into gear. Recently, they released a 7-minute long CGI short for the game, which you can view below.

Made in collaboration with developers Motive Studios, Lucasfilm, and ILM, the short – called “Hunted” – tells an individual story set before the events of Star Wars: Squadrons. It puts the spotlight on Imperial TIE Fighter pilot Squadron Leader Varko Grey of the Titan Squadron, who will also be featured as one of the main characters in the upcoming game’s campaign. The short sees the Empire’s forces having to retreat after a surprise attack by the New Rpublic, following which Grey is hunted by a a renegade New Republic X-Wing pilot. It’s worth watching for any Star Wars fan- take a look below.

Star Wars: Squadrons releases for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 2. It recently went gold, which means that there should be no delays.
