Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Update 2.0 Launches Amid Scum and Villainy

New content and updates arrive for Bioware's free to play MMORPG.

The biggest content update for Bioware’s free to play MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic finally goes live with the “Scum and Villainy” trailer. Game update 2.0 will add on a ton of new content for the experience, which can be previewed in the trailer above.

Announced alongside early access for the Rise of the Hutt Cartel digital expansion, Game Update 2.0 features new level 55 content for veteran players. This means a new Operation, new Legacy Achievements, four Hard More Flashpoints, an additional 5 percent Guild XP Bonus for all XP earned while playing as part of a guild, more in-game bonuses for being in a guild and much more.

For its part, the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion will bring its own wealth of content, including dangerous new Droids and battle stations, along with new weapons, skills, an increased level cap, new armour and more. To pre-order the digital expansion, head here.
