Stardew Valley

ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley received tons of new content last week with update 1.4. Along with 14-heart spouse events, tons of new customization options for one’s character and a new multiplayer map, there are over 60 new items. The developer has since launched a follow-up patch, update 1.4.0.1, which seeks to fix bugs.

The patch notes contain some spoilers so can check out the full range of bug fixes here. One new feature that’s welcome is the Gamepad Mode selection. It’s set to Auto by default and will switch between keyboard/mouse and controller. You can force it to use the gamepad only or switch it off to stick with keyboard and mouse.

Perhaps one of the odder new additions is that Vincent, Sam’s younger brother, now likes snails. An interesting change if somewhat unexpected. Update 1.4 is currently live for PC. It should be available for other platforms in the coming weeks so stay tuned for more details.
