state of decay 2

State of Decay 2 is one of the few notable Xbox exclusives that we have known of for a while. Today, at their E3 press conference show, Microsoft showed off more of the game, with some pretty cool gameplay footage. The game looks to be almost open world, and the trailer emphasized player choice and agency in the experience.

The survival mechanics of the game were emphasized, as well as the potential murky morality of the decisions you may have to make. It actually looks great- like the original game realized on a far larger budget. It will be hugely interesting to see how well it fleshes out the first game’s potential.

State of Decay 2 will be releasing exclusively on the Xbox One and on Windows 10 PCs. It’s a Play Anywhere title. You can check out the new trailer and footage for yourself below. The game will be launching worldwide in Spring 2018.
