As time has gone on, the Steam storefront has become something of a de facto platform holder in the PC world. There’s been a lot of reasons for this, from being the first major player on the market, the crazy sales of old, and just the general name and mindshare that Valve has managed to create. But one thing has been the storefront’s various ‘festival’ like events, and now we have details on the next one.

Valve has announced that the Steam Game Festival will be rebranded this year to Next Fest. It will seemingly function similarly, though, having lots of demos, livestreams and ‘chats’ with developers about the upcoming titles of the year and beyond. Right now it’s aiming to start in June and last a week, and also seems to coincide for when the ESA was reportedly planning to have E3 this year.

Steam Next Fest will begin on June 16th and run until June 22nd. You can read more details in full through here.
