Korean studio Shift Up’s upcoming action title Stellar Blade has turned quite a few heads with each of its showings, and the fact that Sony has thrown its full weight behind it and marketed as a major upcoming PS5 exclusive has created its fair share of excitement as well. Now, that partnership has been cemented even further.

As spotted by @Genki_JPN on Twitter, it’s been announced that Shift Up and Sony have formalized a publishing agreement that will see the latter acting as the worldwide publisher and distributor for Stellar Blade. That means Shift Up has officially become a second party PlayStation partner, becoming the first South Korean studio to do so.

Stellar Blade is in development exclusively for PS5, though details on when it will launch remain scant. When it was shown off last year, the game was given a 2023 launch window, though in the aforementioned announcement, Shift Up has provided no specific release date, and instead only says that information “will be revealed at a later date.”
