As the new Story Mode for Street Fighter 6, World Tour is a pretty meaty experience. It offers locations like Metro City to explore, and you can challenge almost anyone. Whether learning from the likes of Ryu and Chun-Li, discovering all the little references and Easter eggs, or hanging out, there’s a lot to do.

With all that World Tour has to offer, how do you complete its many challenges without much difficulty? Let’s look at everything you should keep in mind.

Tips and Tricks for World Tour

Use Modern Controls

Modern Controls aren’t as good against other players since they deal less damage and give less agency over your combos. For World Tour, they can be ideal because (a) the AI doesn’t put up much of a fight, and (b) you’ll be fighting many AI opponents consecutively, so being able to spam Special Moves, Combos, and Overdrives will make life easier. When facing any tough opponents, switch back to Classic Controls for an edge.

Mastering Styles

When you start World Tour, it’s under the tutelage of Luke. You essentially have his Style equipped, and when defeating opponents, it gains separate Style XP. Level up the Style to increase your bond with Luke, which can provide access to new conversations, his Super Arts and even the option to summon him in battles by consuming the Super Gauge. Thankfully he isn’t the only Master in World Tour.

Every one of the launch fighters can become your Master, and you can mix and match moves for your avatar, so it’s possible to have Ryu’s Hadoken and Ken’s Dragonlash Kick with Luke’s Super Art are your go-to loadout. You have to find each Master and talk to them enough times to be able to train under them.

Here are all their locations:

  • Luke – Unlocked by default when starting the game in Metro City.
  • Chun-Li – Unlocked as part of the main story in Chapter 2 by going to Chinatown in Metro City.
  • Marisa – She’s found in Colosseo, Italy, in Chapter 3, when you travel abroad for the first time as part of the main story. You’ll have to talk to her again before leaving to unlock her Style.
  • Lily – Found in Thunderfoot Temple, Mexico, in Chapter 4. You’ll need to speak to Ana in Chinatown and get the side quest, “The Spirit Guide” before venturing to Mexico to make Lily appear.
  • Blanka – Unlocked in Chapter 6 when you go to the Ranger’s Hut in Brazil as part of the main story. Talk to him again before leaving to unlock his Style.
  • Dee Jay – Found at Bathers Beach in Jamaica in Chapter 6. Talk to him again before leaving the location to receive his Style.
  • Cammy – Return to King’s Street in the United Kingdom in Chapter 7 to meet Cammy. Speak to Alfred in Metro City’s Beat Square Subway, which unlocks the side quest “Special Unit Del-” for Cammy to appear in King’s Street.
  • Manon – Loated in Fete Foraine, France, in Chapter 7. Find Manager Oscar in Metro City’s Beat Square and get the side quest “Extra” to cause Manon to appear in France.
  • Ken – Encounter in the SiRN Building in Metro City during Chapter 8.
  • E. Honda – Also encountered in Chapter 8 in Metro City but near Chanko House Edomon.
  • Ryu – Also met in Chapter 8 in Genbu Temple, Japan, but you’ll need to first speak to E. Honda.
  • Jamie – Luke’s rival is in Chinatown, Metro City, in Chapter 8. Following his introduction, go to the rooftops to find him and unlock his Style.
  • Guile – Found on the Byron Taylor Carrier in Chapter 8.
  • Kimberly – Though she appears in Chapter 8, you’ll need to go Downtown in Metro City during Chapter 9 at nighttime to unlock her Style. Head for the Metro City Police Station and venture to the roof to find her.
  • Dhalsim – During Chapter 9, you’ll find him at Dhalsimer Temple, India. Speak to Anik in Metro City’s Bayside Area to receive the side quest “The Yoga Statue” and Dhalsim will appear when traveling to India.
  • Zangief – First, go to Metro City’s Mike Haggar Memorial Stadium at night. Talk to the two fighters there and receive the side quest, “Hither and Thither.” This will take you to Barmaley Steelworks, Russia, in Chapter 9, where you can unlock Zangief’s Style.
  • Juri – Though first encountered in Chapter 5 as part of the story, Juri is met again in the Back Alley of Old Nayshall in Chapter 12. You’ll need to speak to Govind in Nayshall’s Central Bazaar and unlock the side quest “A Hardboiled Adventure” to meet her.
  • JP – The final Master, you’ll meet him in Suval’hal Arena in Old Nayshall after finishing the story. Go there at night and speak to JP to unlock his Style.

Leveling each Master’s Bond Level to 100 will unlock their second outfits for free (otherwise, be prepared to spend Fighter Coins). The easiest way to do this is by purchasing gifts from the various Merchant Hawkers and Shopkeepers throughout all the locations. You can keep gifting the Master in question, and their Bond Level max out before you know it. Since you can only level one Style at a time, it’s infinitely preferable to grinding out each separately.

Use Consumables

When you’re injured, visit a street vendor for food to recover health. They’re cheap, and you can purchase items to go. It’s worth completing the “Drone Delivery” side quest from Chapter 6 onwards since that will unlock the Deliveries app. It allows for ordering food wherever you may be and healing on the spot.

Make sure to stock up on consumables like Energy Drinks and use them in the middle of fights when you need them. If you’re up against some tough customers or find yourself in a pinch, Energy Drinks can be invaluable. Other consumables reduce incoming damage, increase your damage output and more for a brief period. You can get these as drops from completing objectives when battling opponents, from different vendors and as rewards for completing side quests.

Some consumables obtained from Merchant Hawkers in different locations can also permanently increase your health, Punch Strength and more. They can be expensive, but always buy them when possible. Every little advantage counts.

Unlock the Right Skills

In addition to gear and customizing your fighting Style using the moves of different Masters, you also get Skill Points on leveling up. They’re used in the Skill Tree for unlocking bonuses. It’s worth investing in Health upgrades, additional Accessory slots (since you can equip more gear with benefits) and increasing the damage of your preferred attacks. When given a choice between two Skills, you can only unlock one, so carefully consider which would benefit you.

The Importance of Gear

Gear is important in World Tour, lending a fashionable flair to your character. You’ll find it in chests, from completing quests, completing objectives in fights, and buying it from stores.

However, you’ll notice that gear can have different stats, increasing your overall defense and providing some Traits. The latter are passive skills which can buff your damage, increase the regeneration rate of the Drive Gauge, and much more. Some have drawbacks, like more damage taken.

Though equipping gear that suits your play style is important, there are some superior choices over everything else. For example, you can get the Fighter’s Hoodie and Fighter’s Sweatpants, with the former granting the Peak Performance Trait for a Medium Boost to your damage when your health is 70 percent or higher. It also provides 104 Defense, which is pretty high for a one gear piece.

The Fighter’s Sweatpants provide 106 Defense, despite no Traits. The Fighter’s Hoodie is sold by Merchant Mello late into the game, but it’s also in a SiRN Chest at Mount Vashal in Nayshall. The Fighter’s Sweatpants are in a SiRN Chest at Mount Vashal. Both require finishing the story and unlocking Old Nayshall, so keep that in mind.

Another strong choice is the Blanka-Chan Costume, a Legendary Outfit. You get this from completing the quest “Hard Reboot” which becomes available in Chapter 6 when completing the quest, “Bound for England.” Along with 110 Defense, it also adds 40 Punch Strength, 20 Unique Attack Strength and 40 Kick Strength. Since it’s unlockable before World Tour’s halfway point, it’s worth using.

If you’re looking for a good accessory, it’s hard to go wrong with Alice’s Glasses. You must complete the quest “Sun Drenched Symposium – A” which becomes available from Chapter 10 onwards in Nayshall, and also finish the previous training missions with Alice to unlock them. Alice’s Glasses grant the Focus 2 Trait, which provides a Medium Boost to Drive Gauge Regen Rate.

While gear won’t be that important initially, as you battle higher-level opponents who hit harder and have more health, it helps.

Upgrade Gear

For a further edge, use Street Fibers to upgrade your gear. First, go south of Mike Haggar Stadium and look for Apparel Clerk Gomorrah. This unlocks the option to enhance your gear, and while it can be done by using other pieces as infusion fuel (especially if you don’t need those gear pieces anymore), Street Fiber is a safer option.

Of course, you can only get Street Fibers from quests, chests and completing objectives against certain opponents. You can always see which rewards an opponent will give upon defeating them and the objectives, so prioritize accordingly. Different types of Street Fibers are required for upgrading each gear slot. For example, upgrading a Headpiece require Street Fiber (Head). Street Fiber (Torso) doesn’t work.

Don’t be quick to dump all your Street Fibers and Zenny into upgrading gear during the early or mid-game. Wait until near the end, and your gear set-up is mostly determined. Some of the best gear is in the post-game, so having enough Street Fibers saved up is ideal.

Get Zenny

Between buying gear, enhancing it, purchasing consumables, and even healing by eating food, you’ll have plenty to spend money on in World Tour. There are numerous ways to earn Zenny, the main in-game currency, starting from the early going. You can beat up random opponents on the street to start and then transition to Part-Time Jobs, which barely take time to complete.

As you progress through the mode, those Part-Time Jobs will have higher difficulties, which give greater payouts. You’ll also find nuggets to sell for different amounts of Zenny and even some side quests which provide excellent payouts. Check out our guide here for farming Zenny quickly to learn more.

Unlock SiRN Chests

SiRN Chests are important because they contain different gear pieces. As noted above, the Fighter’s Hoodie, one of the best Torso pieces in the game, can be found inside a SiRN Chest. While you can buy gear from stores, finding them in SiRN Chests is preferable. Keep an eye out for them as you roam Metro City and Nayshall, whether it’s in back alleys, under bridges, inside buildings or out in the open.
