Styx: Shadows of Darkness Gets Some New Screenshots

Looking good.

Styx: Shadows of Darkness is a bit of an unlikely sequel- after all, the first game (which itself was a prequel to Of Orcs and Men) didn’t exactly do all that well, so it’s unclear exactly why a sequel was greenlit. Regardless, you won’t find me complaining- I have always maintained that the original game had some good ideas, which it squandered, so a sequel, which could potentially develop those ideas and deliver a far better product, is always welcome in my book.

Screenshots tell us very little about whether or not that will happen, but they’re a good way to generate hype regardless. These new screenshots for Styx: Shadows of Darkness look good, and they once again showcase the series’ impeccable sense of artstyle, as well as the technical improvements that make Shadows of Darkness a far better looking game.

You can check out the screenshots for yourself below. Styx: Shadows of Darkness is due out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC some time later this year.
