Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 1’s New Stronghold Missions Are Also Recycled

Though touted as "new activities" in the roadmap, these are the same Terraformer and Bug Farm missions from the base game.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s first season, Season of the Joker, launched on March 29th and instantly received negative feedback from fans. Some criticisms include very little new story content, a grind to unlock The Joker (with an option to pay $10 for instant access), a boss fight with Brainiac based on the Green Lantern, and more. Even the new Incursions are substandard.

Based on the roadmap, players hoped that the mid-season update, Episode 2: Duality, would bring new content, like the previously mentioned Strongholds. However, according to Rocksteady on the game’s official Discord (via Reddit), the new Stronghold missions are already in-game.

As for which missions fell under this category, the developer replied, “The Joker-themed Terraformer and Bug Farm missions throughout Metropolis where you can see that parts of the Joker Elseworld have been phased into the city.” Of course, aside from visuals, there’s nothing fundamentally different about these missions in gameplay, which also hasn’t gone down well with fans.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review for the base game here, and stay tuned for more updates on the season.
