Drew Murray has rejoined Insomniac Games, he recently confirmed on his personal Twitter account. He recently left Microsoft first party studio The Initiative, which he joined back in 2018, and where we served as Design Director on the upcoming Perfect Dark reboot.
Murray begins his second stint at Insomniac Games. He first joined the studio – back when it was still independent – in 2005, working as an Associate Designer on first person shooter Resistance: Fall of Man. Murray spent ten years at Insomniac Games, and also served as a designer Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Senior Designer on Resistance 2, and Lead Designer on Resistance 3. The last game he worked on at Insomniac before leaving the studio was Sunset Overdrive, which he directed.
Insomniac Games are currently working on Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, which is due out exclusively for the PS5 on June 11. Meanwhile, work on the next Marvel’s Spider-Man game is also currently ongoing, though the game is yet to be unveiled.
I guess ten years, five games, and six job titles just wasn't enough. I'm excited to be rejoining many friends and former colleagues at @insomniacgames as a Principal Designer. That takes me to my seventh job title; now I just need to work some days and make some games, right? pic.twitter.com/gCK4z4OVUY
