Sunset Overdrive Multiplayer Chaos Mode Detailed in New Trailer

Build the Chaos and fight off the OD'd in Insomniac's open world shooter.

Insomniac Games’ Sunset Overdrive won’t just be about roaming the open world and murdering any OD’d in sight. There will also be the option to team up with other players in Chaos Mode for co-op missions. But what exactly sets Chaos Mode apart from your typical multiplayer?

A new trailer from Insomniac outlines just what Chaos Mode is about. Essentially, a team of players vote on different objectives each round in an attempt to build up Chaos. After enough rounds are over, the team will move to Night Defense wherein they must protect their fort from swarming waves of enemies. You can set traps and other weapons to help you out as you defend the fort with the higher amount of Chaos determining how much more difficult the defense will be.

If you succeed, you’ll net different benefits including more powerful weapons for single-player mode. Sound enticing to you? Let us know what you think in the comments.
