Microsoft seems to be on the warpath when it comes to clarifications. After denying release date rumours for Halo 5: Guardians, the publisher has now clarified that the recent listing of Sunset Overdrive that indicated a PC release was actually a mistake.

This came by way of Mike Ybarra who works on the Xbox Platform and Windows Gaming Development Team. Ybarra tweeted that, “On the Sunset Xbox/PC ad: Not true, this was a simple mistake and the team is aware/addressing. Sorry for any confusion!”

Mistakes like this do happen and it seems to be more of an honest goof-up than the speculation surrounding Halo 5: Guardians. As for developer Insomniac Games, it isn’t planning a PC release for Sunset Overdrive with the Xbox One being the focal point. Then again, never say never. Stay tuned for more information on the future of Sunset Overdrive which is currently only set for the Xbox One.
