Super Mario Bros. Wonder has been consistently posting strong numbers in Japan’s weekly physical software charts, and as per data released by Famitsu, it did so again last week. Selling over 82,000 units, it jump back into the No. 1 spot, with Konami’s Momotaro Dentetsu World: Chikyuu wa Kibou de Mawatteru! coming in at No. 2 with over 62,000 units sold, and Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince at No. 3 with over 51,000 units.
Another recently released Mario game, the remake of Super Mario RPG, sits in fifth place, having sold another 17,000+ units in Japan last week. Meanwhile, Pikmin 4 comes in above it at No. 4. Having sold over 26,000 units last week, its total physical sales in Japan have now exceeded 1 million units. Additionally, owing to the release of a lower priced version, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade shot back into the top 10, coming in at No. 6 with over 14,000 units sold.
On the hardware front, the Nintendo Switch was the frontrunner last week, selling over 92,000 units, while the PS5 followed behind with over 44,000 units sold.
