As with several of its releases this year, Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder has received an accolades trailer, highlighting the praise from critics. The side-scrolling platformer launched on October 20th for Nintendo Switch and is already one of the highest-rated games of 2023. Check out the trailer below (and our review here).

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a big step up from previous platformers like New Super Mario Bros. U in style and presentation. It introduces new mechanics like Wonder Flowers that warp stages in unique ways, new power-ups like Elephant, Drill, Bubble and more, and Badges to mix up the gameplay.

Players can also jump online and create rooms to play with others, or place Standees in stages to help revive them. In addition to critical acclaim, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is also a commercial hit, becoming the fastest-selling Mario game in Europe and selling over 638,000 physical copies in Japan on its debut. Worldwide sales have yet to be revealed so stay tuned in the coming weeks.
