Nightdive Studios’ remake of System Shock has been delayed again. Instead of launching for consoles and PC this month, it’s now releasing for PC alone on May 30th. In a new Steam post, the developer said a March release was “just beyond our reach.”

Pre-orders are live for the PC version on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store, with players receiving a free copy of System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition (which still doesn’t have a release date). As for those looking forward to the System Shock remake on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, they’ll arrive in “due course,” and there will be more details “when we have them.”

System Shock completely revamps the original game with HD visuals (courtesy of Unreal Engine), a new UI, refreshed music, an overhaul of CyberSpace levels, dismemberment and realistic damage. The PC version also supports 4K and high frame rates with Nvidia DLSS. Stay tuned for more details on its release in the coming weeks.
