Headlining the trio of new cars added to Gran Turismo 7 is the 6-time WRC winning '92 Lancia Delta HF Intergrale Rally Car.
Over three years after its launch on PS4 and PS5, Gran Turismo 7 is still going strong with new vehicles, tracks, events, and more.
Three new events are also live for World Circuits, and GT Sophy is playable in Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya's Grand Prix Layout.
However, the trailer seemingly leaked on the game's PS5 Home page, revealing the four new cars and a May 15th release date.
"I like to think that I partly saved Gran Turismo’s fate and played a small part in its success," said the former PlayStation executive.
The update brings with it the Aston Martin Vantage '18, the Mazda CX-30 Smart Edition '21, and the Renault Kangoo '01 to Gran Turismo 7.
As part of the update, Gran Turismo 7 players can now challenge the racing AI Sophy in new race tracks, and there is a new Cafe Menu to complete.
A port for Polyphony Digital's acclaimed racing sim was seemingly in the works, but it's no longer happening for unknown reasons.
Circana executive director Matt Piscatella also reveals that the racing sim is the fifth best-selling title in the franchise in units.
It includes License Tests, Time Trials, Music Rally stages, and 18 cars to race for free while serving as a "personal driving journey."
The free trial for Gran Turismo 7 on PS4 and PS5 features "favorite" cars, tracks, and events, and launches this holiday season.
Two special events awarding up to one million Credits are also available today to celebrate the Gran Turismo World Series 2024 World Finals.
The racing sim will add five new cars with its new update, while PS5 Pro enhancements are also likely to be added in.
Players will also have the option to challenge Gran Turismo Sophy on two tracks and pursue an Audi-focused Extra Menu in GT Café.
Patch 1.49 goes live today at 11 PM Pacific, and will also bring a new GT Cafe Menu and a new circuit in the form of the returning Eiger Nordwand.
The update will also add six new cars, new Michelin car tires, a new wheel brand, updated physics, and more.
The racing sim's newest update brings five new vehicles, four new World Circuits, a new Cafe menu, and a new Scapes feature.
A new GT Café Extra Menu at Collector Level 38, three new World Circuit events and a new Scape are also available in the update.
GT Cafe also gets a new Extra Menu and conversations with different car designers and characters. A new featured Curation is also live in Scapes.
And it's looking likely that it will become the series' No. 1 game in the region sometime this year.
