The new dev diary post goes on to talk about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2's neo-noir setting and narrative themes.
The new studio working on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 explains its take on non-combat and combat gameplay.
Unlike the title's original version, which was in development at Hardsuit Labs, The Chinese Room's project is built on Unreal 5.
"If we weren’t confident in the new release window, we wouldn’t be starting the new marketing campaign," says Paradox Interactive's Sean Greaney.
"The themes, Seattle as the setting, and a significant degree of the art and character art has been carried over," says publisher Paradox Interactive.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 now has a new lease on life, and will be getting more details revealed later this year. There will also be a new gameplay walkthrough in January.
The Chinese Room describes the narrative horror as "if Stanley Kubrick lost his mind shooting a documentary aboard an oil rig."
The Chinese Room's adventure title was originally due out in March of this year, but got delayed in light of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Dan Pinchbeck says the studio won't be fully active "for the time being."
