Sega and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have offered the first glimpse at the first new Virtua Fighter game in over a decade.
Rumored earlier this year, the new Virtua Fighter is reportedly a reboot of the series and will compete with Street Fighter and Tekken.
Quest Mode is reportedly returning "in a new way", and there's a focus on competing with modern fighters like Tekken and Street Fighter.
The reboot isn't being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, but has "staff from latest Virtua Fighter games" working on it, according to a known leaker.
"Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown will let us know whether there are demands and potentials for Virtua Fighter," says chief producer Seiji Aoki.
