Tales from the Borderlands Announced: Telltale Game and Gearbox Team Up in New Trailer

Didn't expect that, did you?

Telltale Games arrived at this year’s Spike VGX Awards to announce an episodic adventure series which is being created in collaboration with Gearbox Software: Tales from the Borderlands. We’re not even joking in the slightest. Check it out above.

Releasing in 2014, it will feature assets from the Borderlands franchise including some classic characters and locations along with a few new interesting additions. Not much is known about it – just that it would “play like a Telltale game” but be set in Pandora, the main world of Borderlands (and we’d assume on other such Vault-infested planets). And it’s being developed by Telltale primarily.

What are your thoughts on the above debut? Will it be arriving on next gen consoles as well? We’ll know in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates as the Spike VGX Awards rolls on. Thus far, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has been confirmed and a new 5 minute gameplay video for Thief has been unveiled.
