A new TV commercial is live for Bandai Namco’s Tales of Arise, providing a brief 30-second look at the title. Featuring “Blue Moon” by Ayaka, it provides some emotional moments between protagonists Alphen and Shionne. There’s also a massive boss made of magma and rock that looms over our heroes. As the latest in the publisher’s Tales series, Tales of Arise is about the people of Dahna and Rena. Once peacefully co-existing, the former found its people subjugated and enslaved by the latter. Alphen, who starts out lacking any memories, seeks to free his people and runs into Shionne, a Renan mage afflicted with a curse that harms anyone who touches her.
Together, the duo encounter a variety of characters including Rinwell, a Dahnan mage who can use Astral Artes; Law, a martial artist; Kisara, captain of the Elde Menancia Guard; and Dohalim, a Renan interested in various arts. Tales of Arise is slated to release on September 10th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox One but there will be a demo for consoles releasing tomorrow.
