Tales of Symphonia Remastered will run at a frame rate of 30 FPS. The frame rate was spotted on the game’s Japanese-only official website. Given the fact that the original Tales of Symphonia ran at 60 FPS on the GameCube back in 2003, this has understandably come as an unpleasant shock to fans.

Other details of the game on the website include comparisons of the Nintendo Switch version—which will apparently run at 720p—with its PS3 release, and general gameplay features.

Pre-orders for Tales of Symphonia Remastered were opened up earlier this week, and the game is set to release in early 2023 on PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.

The pre-orders are available for the physical release, which has been dubbed the Chosen Edition. Alongside the game itself, the Chosen Edition also includes additional goodies such as a metal case, stickers, and art prints.

Tales of Symphonia revolves around protagonist Lloyd Irving, set on protecting his childhood friend Colette Brunel. The duo have to set out on a journey to save the world of Sylvarant.
