A new brawler featuring the turtles that time forgot has been announced, as Activision released a trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC.

Presumably, we’ll be going to the old-school theme of the Turtles being crime fighters as they work to clean up New York City. So expect Shredder and April O’Neil to appear along with the Foot Soldier Clan.

The game will be a brawler, where players can control one of the four titles and cooperate with friends in 4 player action. Developed by Red Fly Studios, who handled ports for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Ghostbusters: The Video Game on Wii U and 3DS, this will be Activision’s first title for the franchise since picking up the rights not too long ago.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is scheduled to releases this Summer. And it looks far better than Michael Bay’s upcoming nightmare of a film.
