Tekken 7 Opening Cinematic Teases Devil Kazuya, Epic Battles

Brawling on volcanoes. Nuff said.

Bandai Namco has unveiled the opening cinematic for Tekken 7 and it doesn’t pull any punches (both literally and figuratively). The cinematic sees Kazuya and Heihachi, two series’ regulars, battling on top of a raging volcano. After several hard hitting exchanges, we get our first look at what’s arguably Kazuya’s Devil form. Check it out above.

Tekken 7 is being developed on Unreal Engine 4 and will be one of the first fighting games to boast that distinction. It will apparently be darker than previous series’ entries and focus purely on 1 vs. 1 battles. There will be some new mechanics to master as well such as Rage Art for powered up attacks when your health is critical and changes to the camera and movement.

Arriving in arcades in Japan on February 18th, information is still pending on Tekken 7’s release for consoles. Stay tuned for further announcements on the same and let us know what you think of the opening cinematic in the comments.
