Tekken 8 - Reina

Bandai Namco promised a balance patch for Tekken 8 this Spring, and based on the recent notes, it’s a doozy. Going live on May 7th at 7 PM PDT, Ver.1.04.00 contains adjustments to several fighters. Right off the bat, characters like Asuka, Bryan, Jack-8, Panda, Zafina, and Kuma are receiving some buffs, improving the usability of the game’s new Heat mechanics or further carving a niche for them.

Meanwhile, heavy hitters like Jun Kazama, Azucena, Devil Jin, Dragunov, Feng, Xiaoyu, and others are being adjusted due certain techniques being too strong. There will also be fixes to characters like Alisa and Yoshimitsu to ensure more consistent damage and fewer hitbox problems. Check out the full patch notes here for more details.

Tekken 8 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and this is only the first in balance adjustments for Season 1. The development team has other content in the pipeline, including a new stage and Photo Mode this Summer and a new Main Story chapter in Autumn, all for free. Lidia from Tekken 7 also joins the roster as its second DLC character.
