Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Tekken 8 received a new trailer, which is mostly story-focused but also features a hefty amount of story. Along with Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama, it also confirmed the return of several iconic characters like Law, Lars, Paul, King, and Jack-8. And finally, Jun Kazama returns after her last appearance in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
Tekken 8 is releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It’s developed on Unreal Engine 5 and doesn’t reuse any assets from Tekken 7. In addition to high-definition character models, the skin and hair are high-fidelity. The visual effects are also more spectacular than ever, lending more impact to each below.
Though it doesn’t have a release window, Tekken 8 could launch sometime in 2023. Bandai Namco said it might release in the fiscal year 2023, somewhere between April 1st, 2023 to March 31st, 2024. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
