Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy is apparently releasing on April 27th according to a recent release date from retailer GameStop.
Though the date hasn’t been officially announced, it’s interesting for several reasons. One, it’s since been pulled from the product page (though screencaps courtesy of WWG are available). Two, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be out in May for US theatres. If ever there was a good time to release the game, it would be around the movie’s release.
GameStop also revealed a brief synopsis on what can be expected. Apparently the Guardians have discovered an “artifact of unspeakable power” and have to contend with a ruthless enemy. Their journey takes from Earth to Knowhere and other places over five episodes with Starlord as the main lead.
