Do you know how many first person shooter franchises were around when I was growing up? Three. You were either playing Doom, Goldeneye or Medal of Honour (though why you'd choose MoH out of those three is unknown.) Fast forward to nowadays and you could practically bathe in first person shooter games. There's just so many of them, following the massive success of the Call of Duty franchise. I can understand all the publishers wanting a slice of the action, but I get the feeling other genres are beginning to get unfairly looked over.
