Online gaming on consoles seems to have been the big revelation of this generation, with Xbox Live and the PSN drawing huge followings to the Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively. Yet, there is a nasty side effect indeed to the collective experiences these services bring: Assholes. The amount of times I\'ve been referred to as a Nazi, homosexual or incestuous rapist is rather astonishing, and I largely game without a headset so as to not attract this sort of abusive attention. It's a rather broad issue, but I'm going to point the finger at Xbox Live for being the major culprit. Let's just hope the children will simmer down as the novelty of their new online toys wears off.
