After travelling to defeat the dark lord Ahriman, the Prince decides to undo Elika's sacrifice and revive Ahriman once more as his feelings for her get in the way of common sense. They walk off slowly as the game cuts to an end. Was this an attempt to engage with moral relativism and the binaries of good and evil? Not a chance. This was a greedy attempt by Ubisoft to force players into forking out for the Epilogue DLC in order to see the real ending. As if our £40 wasn't enough to actually see how the game finishes.
