The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is less than a week away from release, and CD Projekt RED has shared the worldwide launch times. It’s available from 3 AM PDT on September 29th.
You wouldn’t think the 2015 open-world action RPG would become one of the season’s biggest releases, but that’s the power of its legacy. Of course, the Remastered version is more than a simple visual overhaul. It includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine alongside the base game; several new combat animations and finishers; overhauls the skill tree; and introduces sought-after features such as cross-platform mod support, transmog, and much more.
However, reactions to the visual changes, especially after a new comparison video by CD Projekt RED, have been mixed. Fans complained about the toned-down effects of Geralt’s Igni Sign and the lack of reflections for them in the water. The developer hasn’t responded to these criticisms yet, so stay tuned for updates.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 as a free update. Xbox owners will even receive a free PC copy via Xbox Play Anywhere support. Head here for more details on what to expect.
