Re-Logic’s Terraria has finally made its way to the Xbox 360 and PS3, and a new launch trailer has been released to give players a glimpse of what they’re in for.

Ported by 505 Games for the consoles, Terraria is a sandbox action platformer and RPG hybrid in the vein of Minecraft. Programmed by Andrew “Redigit” Spinks using XNA, you can explore the randomly generated 2D world and pretty much stake your claim to the land by building numerous structures and fighting off dastardly monsters.

505 Games added a few new bosses, some new multiplayer options and lots more features for the hit indie game that went on to do great business since premiering on Steam many moons ago. Whether we’ll see these options on the PC version remains to be seen – so for now, look at the console version as a definite step up.

Terraria is currently available on Xbox Live and PSN for 1200 Microsoft Points and $14.99 respectively.
