Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown 1

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is playable early for Gold Edition players, but it’s facing some issues. Though only 115 user reviews are available on Steam at this time of writing, only 39 percent are positive, earning it a “Mostly Negative” rating.

The title is always online with several features – like anti-cheat, live events, leaderboards, and more – tied to the same. As such, several complaints revolve around the inability to log in due to server issues. Those who can log in after repeated attempts may suddenly be kicked out or unable to access races.

KT Racing has acknowledged the issues and noted its teams are “doing everything possible” to fix them quickly. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown launches worldwide on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version in the works. Check out our review or the post-launch roadmap for more details on future content, from Test Drive Unlimited 2’s Ibiza in December to the Clan War mode in March 2025.
