Tetris Forever

Tetris fans, rejoice. Celebrating the legendary game’s 40th anniversary, at its recent Partner Direct Showcase, Nintendo and developer Digital Eclipse announced Tetris Forever, a new game that will celebrate the history of Tetris

Tetris Forever will include over 15 different classic Tetris games from over the years, including the original NES release, as well as a new one called Tetris Time Warp, which, as its name suggests, will see players jumping from one game style to the next. In addition, Tetris Forever will also feature over an hour of new documentary footage detailing the history of Tetris

Tetris Forever is due out for the Nintendo Switch this year, with a specific release date currently unannounced- though it isn’t the only Tetris release for players to look forward to.

Nintendo has announced that the original NES Tetris is also going to be available at no additional cost to all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers this winter. Additionally, this winter will also bring a new Maximum Cup event for Tetris 99, featuring the original NES title.
