Following the release of several previews last week for The Ascent, Windows Central has shared some new gameplay. It showcases several of the areas that players will explore including the Rooftops and some of the pitched battles that can take place. Check it out below.

Along with finding different weapons to survive against the syndicates and rival corps in Veles, various gear pieces can also be equipped. Skills are also briefly seen and include the likes of Tactical Sense, which determines how much tactical charge is received for damage inflicted; Weapon Handling, which influences reload and weapon swap speed; and Body Battery that determines max energy capacity. These are all associated with separate attributes so you’ll likely need a certain amount of skill points in an attribute for the desired skill.

Though there are plenty of grunts to battle on the ground, the end of the gameplay video sees a massive boss creature jumping down for a fight. The Ascent is currently slated to release on July 29th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. It will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass and includes support for cross-platform play.
